Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent communication with our clients and team members. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to navigate various routes effectively and must be physically fit as involves lifting of furniture
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload goods as required, ensuring items are secured during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
