Key Responsibilities
· Support the Sales team with day-to-day administration, customer enquiries and sales activities.
· Prepare straightforward customer quotations, with support available for more complex requirements.
· Add new leads and opportunities to our CRM system and keep customer and sales information accurate and up to date.
· Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email, providing a friendly and professional service.
· Follow up enquiries and quotations and help ensure sales opportunities aren’t missed.
· Liaise with colleagues and suppliers to gather information and help find the right solutions for customers.
· Learn about our products, suppliers and customers, building your commercial and product knowledge.
· As you develop, take on greater responsibility for customer relationships, identifying opportunities and converting enquiries into sales.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous sales experience or knowledge of laboratory equipment — we’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude and potential to develop.
· A confident and friendly communicator who enjoys dealing with people.
· Organised, accurate and comfortable working with systems and administrative tasks.
· Proactive, with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
· A customer-focused approach and a genuine desire to provide a great service.
· A positive team player who is also comfortable managing their own workload.
· An interest in developing a career in sales and building their commercial skills
