Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team and drive our financial management initiatives forward. You will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of the Finance function. Your expertise will help streamline financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and help contribute to strategic decision-making across the Adaro Group which operates in the UK, Ireland and USA.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Maintain and update financial records using XERO accounting software and identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
- Manage USA and Irish tax returns ensuring adherence to tax laws.
- Preparation and reconciliation of monthly VAT return.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support organisational planning and decision-making.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of financial management systems across departments.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly payroll ensuring accurate record keeping for payroll, pension and HMRC related transactions.
- Providing cover during the Finance Assistant and Finance Managers absence.
- Assist in audits by preparing documentation, supporting schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping principles.
- Experience of month end process and financial reporting.
- AAT level 3 or level 4 qualification or similar.
- Familiarity with financial accounting standards and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable processes efficiently and prioritise.
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
