Job Title: Senior Operations Manager
Salary: Up to £60k per annum to start, after 6 months and delivery on set objectives up to £65k
Other Benefits: Company annual bonus and company car

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40hrs a week, however flexibility is required due to the natural of the role

Main Purpose of the Role:
We’re looking for a second Senior Operations Manager to support our high‑volume BCA Thurleigh site. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee key operational departments including Bodyshop, Parts, Customer Service, CSM for new cars, Workshop and Quality.
You will drive operational excellence, team development and continuous improvement across the site — boosting efficiency, improving SLA/KPI performance, and supporting effective change management. A core part of the role is developing a flexible workforce, leveraging technology to streamline processes, and fostering a positive, high‑performing culture.
As a senior leader within a high‑volume operation, you will be expected to work flexibly and adapt your hours as needed to deliver key objectives, provide effective oversight across departments, and ensure operational performance is maintained during peak periods.
Role Duties:
- Operational performance — drive workshop productivity, efficiency and asset utilisation.
- Financial control — manage budgets and ensure strong cost‑management.
- Continuous improvement — embed best practice, streamline processes and adopt new technology.
- Change leadership — guide teams through operational change and evolving customer demands.
- Performance delivery — elevate SLA and KPI performance across all departments.
- Workforce development — build a flexible workforce, develop talent and recognise achievement.
- Culture building — promote a positive, collaborative and high‑performing environment.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Leadership & people management — proven experience leading high‑volume Bodyshop/Workshop operations, motivating teams, delegating effectively and driving a positive, high‑performance culture.
- Operational & commercial awareness — strong understanding of fast‑paced automotive environments, SOP compliance, cost control, asset utilisation and delivering against SLAs/KPIs.
- Continuous improvement mindset — ability to streamline processes, adopt new technology, enhance efficiency and maintain high standards across quality, HSE, COSHH and regulatory requirements.
- Cross‑functional communication — excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and influence key stakeholders.
- Analytical & problem‑solving ability — confident manipulating data to support decision‑making, with strong organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and resolve issues effectively.
- Technical & IT capability — competent using Microsoft Office and bespoke automotive systems, with a solid technical background.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
