Timber Window & Door Installer / Window Fitter / Carpenter – OTE up to £57,000 (Gross) – Full Time PAYE – South London
SPS Timber Windows Ltd is celebrating its 27th year as one of London’s most respected award-winning bespoke timber window companies.
Established in 1998, we manufacture and install premium quality, energy-efficient timber sash windows, timber casement windows, French doors, front doors, and sliding/folding doors for owner-occupied homes in South West London and South London.
We are now looking for an experienced Carpenter / Window Fitter / Timber Window & Door Installer with exceptional attention to detail to join our motivated team.
Our ideal candidate is currently working for, or has previously worked for, a specialist timber window company, and takes pride in delivering outstanding craftsmanship and service in clients’ homes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Install and fully finish timber sash windows, timber casement windows, French doors, front doors, and sliding/folding doors in domestic properties.
- Complete installations to the highest standard, including associated works such as external pointing, internal making good/plastering, and final decoration.
- Work independently without supervision, following best practice for timber window installation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, respecting their homes and property at all times.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience installing and finishing high-quality bespoke timber windows and doors.
- Level 2 NVQ in Fenestration Installation (or equivalent).
- MTC card preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work cleanly, accurately, and efficiently in client homes.
- Previous experience in a joinery, carpentry, or timber window fitting role.
Hours & Location
- Full-time PAYE, permanent position – 37.5 hours per week (excluding breaks).
- Usual hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
- Flexible working days/hours may be possible (pro-rata pay).
- Based in Mitcham (CR4 4HR) – ideally South London or South West London based.
Salary & Benefits
- Base salary: £35,000–£40,000 gross (including basic + daily attendance bonus, depending on experience).
- OTE up to £57,000 gross PAYE (including base, bonuses, overtime, and commission).
- Fitting commission on completed installations.
- Weekend overtime (when available) – up to £29/hour (max 7.5 hrs).
- Profit-related bonus.
- 28 days paid holiday (including 8 bank holidays, qualifying period applies).

Alternative Engagement Options
We may consider:
- Day rate (TBC based on performance/experience)
