Joinery Surveyor

About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established construction materials supplier to recruit a Joinery Surveyor.
This is a great opportunity to join a busy and reputable business specialising in bespoke joinery, including staircase design and manufacture. You will play a key role in surveying, designing, and pricing a variety of joinery products, working closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
The position would suit someone with a strong joinery background looking to move into a more technical and customer-facing role.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out site surveys for bespoke joinery items, including staircases and other products
Produce designs in line with customer specifications using CAD/CAM systems
Prepare accurate quotations and costings for joinery works
Generate work orders for manufacturing and production teams
Interpret technical drawings and specifications
Provide excellent customer service and manage enquiries
Use internal systems to manage orders, deliveries, and invoicing
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards both on-site and in the workshop
Requirements
Strong background in joinery, ideally within manufacturing or construction
Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Experience working for a joinery manufacturer
Knowledge of CAD design software
Experience using costing or estimating systems
Background as a bench joiner or production operative using machinery
