TCS Recruitment is currently recruiting Catering Assistants to work within school dining halls across Telford and the surrounding Shropshire areas.
We have a range of term-time shifts available, including:
- School-hours shifts: 10:00am–2:00pm
- Longer daytime shifts: 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
These roles are ideal for candidates looking for reliable, part-time work during the school term.
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour plus holiday pay

Main duties may include
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Serving meals to pupils and school staff
- Setting up and clearing dining areas
- Washing up and maintaining clean kitchen areas
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Following all school safeguarding procedures
- Complying with health and safety requirements
- Supporting the wider school catering team
- Carrying out instructions from catering supervisors

- The ability to follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Previous catering or kitchen experience is preferred but not always essential
Safeguarding is at the forefront of these roles. Successful applicants must be willing to complete the required screening, training and compliance checks before starting work.
You will be expected to follow the dress code required for each assignment, which may include a white or black long-sleeved shirt, black trousers and smart black closed-toe shoes.
