Client Financial Affairs Team Visiting Officer | 10708 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £32,061 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | Norfolk / Hybrid
Part of Norfolk County Council, the Client Financial Affairs Service manages the financial affairs of clients who have been assessed to lack mental capacity, where there is no-one else suitable, able or willing to undertake this role for them. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced team that works with vulnerable people to support them with their finances.
We provide financial management support through Deputyships and Appointeeships. The role itself will involve communicating with clients on the telephone or visits at their homes, collating information to make benefit claims and processing Court applications. We work to tight timelines and deadlines so we are looking for people who thrive under pressure, who can access information from multiple sources, make decisions and who are motivated to make a difference.
Experience of money management, DWP state benefit claims and working with vulnerable people would be highly beneficial. You will need solid communication, organisational, financial and computer skills together with confidence in dealing with a wide range of clients, support staff and other interested parties.
These are some benefits you can enjoy by working for Norfolk County Council:
Competitive salary
Generous holiday entitlement
