Thomson Roddick Callan Fine Art & Antique Auctioneers and Valuers are seeking a reliable, hard working and enthusiastic auction assistant/porter to join our auction centre in Ayr.
Thomson Roddick Callan is one of Scotland and the North of England’s leading independent firms of Fine Art & Antique Auctioneers and Valuers with salerooms in Ayr, Carlisle, Dumfries and Edinburgh.
This position will involve;
- Preparing auctions by unpacking boxes and arranging items ready for auction.
- Heavy lifting is required.
- Assist in cataloguing and photography of lots for fortnightly auctions.
- Must have excellent computer skills.
- Greet customers, answer enquiries face to face in the auction centre, along with telephone and emails.
- Other basic tasks as when needed.
Basic hours of work are 42.5 hours per week.
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however training will be provided.
