Job Overview
We are seeking a professional 7.5 tonne delivery and collections driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a reliable individual with a strong focus on safety, organisation, and customer satisfaction. Experience in commercial driving and familiarity with using tail lifts and electric pallet trucks are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne curtain side vehicle with tail lift for delivery and collection of goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured correctly during transit
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and collection records
- Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service during deliveries and collections
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies at all time
- Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial or logistics environment
- Familiarity with tail lift vehicles and loading/unloading procedures
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle (category C1)
- Experience in commercial driving, demonstrating safe driving practices and route planning skills
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to commercial vehicle operation
