Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults using diagnostics and technical manuals
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Assemble new machinery or parts according to specifications
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move or install equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Assist with troubleshooting complex mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or similar role
- Strong understanding of schematics, assembly procedures, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Knowledge of equipment repair techniques and preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
