About Gourmet Burger Club
Gourmet Burger Club is a growing restaurant brand with locations across Banstead, Cobham, Covent Garden and Twickenham. We are passionate about great food, warm hospitality and creating an experience that keeps our guests coming back.
With further growth planned, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Restaurant Manager to take ownership of one of our restaurants and lead the team to consistently deliver high standards across food, service and operations.

The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day performance of the restaurant. You will lead from the front, develop your team, maintain excellent operational standards and ensure every guest receives a consistently great experience.
This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys being on the restaurant floor, motivating people and taking ownership of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the restaurant's daily operations.
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service and hospitality.
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop FOH and kitchen team members.
- Create an engaged, positive and performance-focused working environment.
- Manage staff rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels in line with business requirements.
- Monitor labour costs, sales and other key performance indicators.
- Drive restaurant sales and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and service standards are consistently maintained.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Ensure all food safety, health & safety and hygiene procedures are followed.
- Maintain excellent restaurant cleanliness and presentation at all times.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries, wastage and stock control.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures and ensure cash-handling procedures are followed correctly.
- Work closely with Head Office on promotions, new menu launches, local marketing initiatives and operational projects.
- Encourage the team to build strong relationships with guests and support customer loyalty.
- Monitor online guest feedback and help maintain a strong reputation for the restaurant.
- Conduct regular team briefings, training and performance reviews.
- Take responsibility for achieving agreed restaurant targets and continually improving performance.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager or experienced Assistant Manager within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Is confident leading and developing a team.
- Has a strong understanding of restaurant operations and commercial performance.
- Understands labour management, stock control and cost management.
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is organised and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Is proactive and comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.
- Has high standards for food quality, cleanliness and restaurant presentation.
- Is flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
