Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse project tenders , forecasts, and cost estimates to ensure financial efficiency.
- Monitor project expenditure and implement cost control measures to prevent overruns.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used against estimates and prepare valuations
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate costs and manage contractual variations.
- Prepare detailed reports on project costs, highlighting any discrepancies or potential savings opportunities.
- Assist in tendering processes by evaluating bids and preparing cost assessments.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant legislation related to financial management.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to align financial planning with project objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the construction sector.
- Strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and legal frameworks governing procurement and payments.
- Relevant qualification such as RICS accreditation or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, capable of negotiating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are essential for success in this role.
Pay: £12,570.00-£100,000.00 per year
