This is a rare opportunity to join our current team in this well-established Sidmouth shop. The shop can be very busy at times throughout the year, and requires a person who can work under pressure and as part of a team. In our quieter times, they would need to be able to work under their own initiative and use the time to restock and tidy the shop. The position involves - welcoming and talking to our visitors and offering information and advice on our stock. A willingness and passion to learn on the job in very important. The positions also involves - serving customers, handling cash and card payments, stock control and display, keeping the shop clean, safe and tidy and, above all, being part of our happy team who hope to make each customers visit a great experience. The shop is open 7 days a week and the busiest times are during seasonal holidays and at weekends. The position is for two week days per week - probably Wednesdays and Thursdays - and one weekend day every other weekend. Additional hours would be available and we run a weekend working Bonus Scheme which pays an additional £2 per hour when working either Saturday or Sunday. We also give a paid 20 minute lunchbreak when working at least a 6 hour day.
