Large Format Printer / Finisher

I’m currently recruiting for a Large Format Printer / Finisher to join an established signage and graphics business.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience within large format digital print who enjoys being an all-rounder and is happy getting involved across both printing and finishing.
They’re not expecting someone to walk through the door knowing every piece of equipment they operate. If you have a good grounding in large format production and experience in some of the areas below, they’re happy for you to develop your knowledge across the rest.
The Role
You’ll be working as part of the production team, helping take jobs from pre-press through to print and finishing.
Day to day will include:
- Setting up and operating large format digital printing equipment
- Preparing and checking files before they go into production
- Operating RIP software
- Producing work across a variety of large format materials and applications
- Monitoring print quality and making adjustments where required
- Laminating and general large format finishing
- Operating digital cutting equipment
- Trimming, mounting and preparing finished work
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Working closely with the wider production team to make sure deadlines are achieved
- Supporting across different areas of production during busy periods
What We're Looking For
Previous experience within large format digital print or signage production would be ideal.
Experience with any of the following would be particularly beneficial:
- SwissQprint large format printers
- Zünd digital cutting tables
- Caldera RIP software
- Laminating and general large format finishing
- Pre-press / preparing files for production
You don't need to tick every box.
The existing team has knowledge across different areas, so someone who can bring experience in even a few of these would be useful and can be trained further on the equipment they're less familiar with.
More importantly, they’re looking for someone who is reliable, quality-focused, willing to muck in and comfortable working as part of a busy production team.
Hours & Overtime
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
The standard working week is 39 hours, with any hours worked above this paid at time and a half.
