As an HGV Driver, you’ll play a key role in delivering plant, materials, and support services to site, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV vehicles in line with company procedures and legal requirements
- Deliver and collect machinery, equipment, and materials to/from site locations
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Ensure all transport documentation is completed accurately
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Communicate effectively with site teams, transport office, and clients
- Adhere to driving hours, tachograph rules, and company policies
- Support loading/unloading and assist with basic vehicle maintenance
- Represent the company positively while on site and on the road
- Carry out any other duties as required by the Transport Manager
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking experienced and reliable HGV Drivers with a strong understanding of transport operations within construction or highways environments. You’ll hold a valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and digital tachograph card. Experience with plant delivery, low loaders, or specialist surfacing equipment is highly desirable.
You’ll be safety-conscious, punctual, and professional, with a flexible approach to working hours and travel. A good attitude, clear communication, and commitment to compliance are essential.
