We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster - Engineering & Construction on behalf of a highly regarded London Market Insurer.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of claims, handling both lead and follow cases to a high technical standard from initial notification through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities

Handling First-Party and Third-Party Liability claims originating from CAR / EAR policies from FNOL to settlement and recovery.

Undertaking an initial evaluation of cause of loss to determine whether a claim is covered and what further information may be required.

Deciding the Company’s response to claims, based on correct interpretation of policy and underwriting documentation.

Assisting in the process of setting accurate, realistic and timely claim reserves.

Maintaining accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes, preparing reports as necessary.

Ensuring accurate entry of claims data into Company systems and assisting in the preparation of MI.

Participating in projects or initiatives designed to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of the department.
Key Requirements

Proven Third-Party Liability CAR / EAR claims handling experience.

Experience of London Company market in CAR / EAR and Engineering matters.

Experience of JCT / LEG / DE.

Experience of market meetings in a lead or follow capacity.

Good general knowledge and understanding of insurance principles.

General awareness of current regulation, case law, and market issues.

Good working knowledge of claims portal.

Effective time & file management skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation and report writing skills.
