Lead a room of your own in an 84-place nursery, with a supportive management team and a manager who's been building this team since 2015.
What you'll do
- Lead the day-to-day running of your room
- Act as key person and oversee your team's key children
- Plan next steps and track progress in line with the EYFS
- Mentor and support your practitioners and apprentices
- Build strong, everyday relationships with parents
- Keep safeguarding and record-keeping to a high standard
What you'll need
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years
- Experience in a nursery setting, ideally with room-leading or senior responsibility
- Confident knowledge of the EYFS
- A warm, calm approach with children and colleagues
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Level 2 are useful, but we'll fund them if you don't have them.
About the setting
Woodlands Avenue is a 84-place nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Four bright rooms across three floors, plus a dedicated pre-school classroom in a secure walled garden.
We're on the corner of a quiet residential road - good parking, buses nearby, and both New Malden and Norbiton stations within easy reach.
You'll also be sharing the setting with Lemon and Frankie, our long-serving nursery guinea pigs.
