POST: HR Advisor
REPORTS TO: HR Business Partner
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
The HR Advisor plays a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, proactive, and efficient HR service across the business. The role holder will act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, advising on HR policies, procedures, and best practice. The HR Advisor will lead on core HR processes across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS (PeopleHR) management, employee relations casework, recruitment support, and benefits administration.
Onboarding
- Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for UK and European new starters, ensuring a smooth transition into the business.

Prepare and issue contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documentation for new starters, ensuring data is accurate and compliant.

Conduct right-to-work checks using TrustID and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Support hiring managers with the completion of onboarding tasks and ensure new starters have a positive onboarding experience.

Manage benefit scheme enrolments and ensure timely communication with new starters.
Offboarding
- Oversee the offboarding process, ensuring timely updates to the HRIS and communication to payroll and relevant departments.

Prepare and issue leaver letters and coordinate final payroll information.

Conduct exit interviews, identifying and escalating themes or risks to the relevant HR Business Partner.

Manage benefit scheme de-enrolments and ensure timely communication with leavers.

Ensure systems access and leaver documentation is updated accordingly.
HRIS (PeopleHR)
- Act as the system superuser for PeopleHR, driving optimal use of workflows, automation, and reporting functionality.

Oversee data integrity, ensuring employee records are accurate and compliant.

Lead on system automation and seek opportunities to continuously improve and fully utilise the HRIS.

Produce HR metrics and analytical reports to support decision-making, including absence trends, turnover analysis, and headcount reporting.

Lead on the digitisation and maintenance of HR records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key HR point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate advice.

Manage the HR email inbox, ensuring enquiries are responded to within the SLA timeframes.

Lead on opportunities and initiatives to promote available Company benefits to employees.
Recruitment Support
- Assist the HR Business Partners with job postings and attend interviews where necessary.

Ensure all Company vacancies are uploaded onto the ATS system.

Update employee records with recruitment methods and costings.
General HR Administration
- Manage visa applications and assist the relevant HR Business Partner with European HR processes.

Prepare and communicate monthly payroll changes, ensuring accuracy and liaising with the payroll team to resolve any discrepancies.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and contribute to HR policy development.

Provide ad-hoc support to the HR Business Partners as required.
Employee Relations
- Provide first-line advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practice across absence, conduct, performance, and grievance matters.

Support HR Business Partners in managing employee relations cases, including minute-taking, drafting correspondence, collating evidence, and conducting investigations where appropriate.

Escalate complex cases and risks to the HR Business Partners, offering informed recommendations.

Ensure HR documentation and processes remain legally compliant and reflect current industry best practice.
A-level qualified or equivalent.
Ability to work in a highly confidential environment.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using PeopleHR software or a similar HRIS.
Demonstrated experience in an administration or advisory HR role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
Good understanding of HR processes and UK employment legislation.
Experience advising on basic employee relations matters.
Strong people analytics skills.
