Based at Huncoat, Nr Accrington

We are currently recruiting experienced Upholsterers to join our skilled team at our Huncoat seating manufacturing site. You'll be responsible for upholstering and finishing high-quality seating products to an exceptional standard for our global customer base.
The Role
- Prepare fabric and components for use in upholstery and/or soft furnishings.
- Upholster items of furniture involving preparation of the frame for upholstery, application of suspensions and filling materials.
- To competently fix upholstery to standard items of modern furniture and traditional furniture using a hand held staple gun, screw gun and other hand tools.
- Application of mesh material into plastic back using air hammer and hands.
- To competently fix upholstery to standard items of modern furniture and traditional furniture using a hand held staple gun, screw gun and other hand tools.
- Maintaining a high level of quality and meeting production efficiency
- Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery
The Person
- Previous upholstery skills (Essential).
- The ability to produce high quality products with excellent attention to detail.
- Practical skills, manual dexterity, especially hand skills and co-ordination.
- A positive mind-set with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- The aptitude to assimilate techniques.
- Manual handling, as some lifting is required.
- Ability to use own initiative and to work quickly to meet production deadlines.
- Measuring and cutting skills would also be beneficial.
Working Hours: 7am - 4pm Monday to Thurs / 7am - 12.45pm Friday.
