Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Live-in Housekeeper to provide comprehensive domestic support within a private residence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment, ensuring the smooth running of household operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the household members, delivering personalised service and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. The position requires a proactive individual with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. Previous experience in hospitality or domestic cleaning is highly desirable, along with skills in cooking and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and tidying of all areas within the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Prepare and cook meals according to household preferences and dietary requirements
- Manage laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and organising clothing and linens
- Maintain organisation of household supplies and restock items as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by attending to household members' needs promptly and courteously
- Assist with light administrative tasks related to household management if required
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in janitorial or domestic cleaning roles is preferred
- Hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or similar environments will be considered positively
- Skills in cooking are desirable to prepare meals for household members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of organisation and efficiency
- Proven ability to manage household chores effectively while providing friendly and attentive service
Pay: £13.00 per hour
