KBG Security Solutions is expanding, and we're looking for experienced, professional Door Supervisors to join our team in Alfreton.
This is an excellent opportunity for Door Supervisors who understand the licensed trade and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
We're looking for individuals who are confident, proactive, and experienced in dealing with the challenges that come with working in busy licensed premises.
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring the safety of customers, staff, and the venue while delivering a professional and approachable security presence.
Your duties will include:
✔ Access Control & Venue Security
- Managing customer entry and exit
- Checking identification and carrying out searches where required
- Preventing underage entry and ensuring licensing compliance
- Monitoring customer numbers and venue safety
✔ Conflict Management
- Identifying and preventing potential issues before they escalate
- Managing refusals of entry and customer removals professionally
- Using communication and conflict resolution skills to de-escalate situations
- Working closely with venue management and emergency services when required
✔ Customer Service
- Providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Assisting customers where appropriate
- Maintaining a visible security presence throughout the venue
✔ Compliance & Reporting
- Completing digital incident reports
- Following assignment instructions and company procedures
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance
What We're Looking For
We're looking for Door Supervisors who genuinely understand the responsibilities of working within the licensed trade.
You'll have:
✔ A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
✔ Minimum 2 years' experience working in pubs, bars or nightclubs
✔ Excellent communication and conflict management skills
✔ A calm, confident and professional approach
✔ Excellent timekeeping and reliability
✔ A smart appearance and strong customer service skills
✔ The ability to work well as part of a team
Shift Information
This position offers consistent weekly hours:
Friday: 21:00 – 01:00 - 01:30
Saturday: 21:00 – 01:00 - 01:30
Additional shifts may become available during:
- Bank Holidays
- Special events
- Busy seasonal periods
Applicants should be available to work every Friday and Saturday, unless prior notice has been agreed.
