Lyndhurst Workmen's Club are seeking a friendly and professional Part Time Bar Person to join our vibrant hospitality team. Located in the centre of The New Forest you will require your own transport. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent service to our members, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers evening and weekend working while balancing other commitments. Previous experience in a bar environment is preferred, training will be provided.
Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages to members in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the till system
- Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the shift
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area at the beginning and end of shifts
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, creating a positive experience
- Manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating good time management skills
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and patrons
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of basic maths for handling transactions accurately
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- A genuine interest in hospitality and providing excellent customer experiences
