We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to support the day-to-day management of workforce systems on a major infrastructure project in St Neots. Acting as a key link between the client and MacRail, you will help ensure workforce information is accurate, up to date, and readily available to support safe and efficient project delivery.
MacRail is a leading provider of rail infrastructure services, supporting the construction, maintenance, and safe operation of railway networks across the UK. The company supplies skilled labour, safety-critical personnel, and infrastructure support services to major contractors and Network Rail projects, helping to deliver efficient and compliant rail operations. MacRail forms part of the Munnelly Group, a major UK construction and infrastructure support services group comprising eight specialist businesses.
In this role, you will manage workforce records, maintain rosters, coordinate accommodation arrangements, support inductions, and ensure site teams remain compliant with project requirements. You will also monitor workforce management systems, proactively identify and resolve issues, and work closely with project teams to keep operations running smoothly.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will engage with a range of stakeholders, including site teams, managers, and health and safety professionals, ensuring workforce data is accurate and systems supporting the project run effectively.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract of 12–18 months, with regular site access required, including weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain workforce rosters
- Manage accommodation records
- Monitor fatigue risk and compliance alerts
- Proactively manage exceedances and complete risk assessments
- Track and record sign-in/sign-out activity, including chasing missing departures
- Manually capture attendance data where required
- Support personnel through the induction process
- Resolve onboarding issues
- Maintain competence records
- Support facial recognition enrolment and resolve system issues in liaison with the 24/7 Control Room
- Record and escalate close calls
- Produce and export compliance reports

Pay: Up to £17.15 per hour
