We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cook/ front of house assistant to join the team, the position would ideally suit an individual who wants to expand there knowledge and skills in the kitchen while assisting on the front of house from time to time. This is an ideal position for someone starting out on their culinary career. We cook fresh, local, seasonal food on a varying menu so there is plenty of scope to develop knowledge and experience.
You will be working as part of a small team preparing and cooking fresh ingredients to the highest standard of quality and presentation. You will ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum and that strict food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- The ability to work in an open kitchen and possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility as shifts will include weekends and evenings as well as other possible duties within the team
- Passionate and enthusiastic can do attitudes towards catering and hospitality.
- The ability to work under their own initiative
- Will be required to manage the kitchen when Head Chef is not on duty.
- A good work life balance.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
