Unity Plus is looking for Support Workers in and around Hull to support adults with Mental Health Disorders, Learning Disabilities and Behaviours that challenge. As a Support Worker, you will work with vulnerable individuals to help them live their lives to the fullest whilst supporting them to maintain their independence. This position requires a natural friendliness and you should be able to establish warm, professional relationships with service users. You will assist service users with their physical and personal needs, you will enhance each individual's wellbeing and quality of life through your positive approach and supportive caring philosophies.
Duties include:
● Supporting people to achieve their goals.
● Assisting people with their Personal care needs.
● Assisting with making meals and drinks.
● Light cleaning duties.
● Engaging in activities within the community.
● Supporting Service users with life skills
● Reporting any concerns to the manager.
● candidates will have experience of working as a Support Worker
● Physical intervention training is desirable (P.M.V.A, M.A.Y.B.O, M.A.P.A ) however this is not essential.
