Independent Speech & Language Therapist (Collaborative Role)

KidsKinetic is seeking a passionate and experienced Independent Speech & Language Therapist to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, supporting children across the Yorkshire region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-employed therapist who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful collaborative working. You will deliver high-quality, child-centred therapy while working alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, educators, and families to ensure holistic support for every child.
About the Role
As an independent collaborator, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children presenting with speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each child’s developmental profile.
- Deliver engaging, play-based, and functional therapy sessions in a variety of settings (home, school, or community).
- Monitor, evaluate, and adapt intervention plans to ensure measurable progress.
- Provide practical guidance and training to parents, caregivers, and educational staff.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to provide integrated care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Keep up to date with current research and best practices in paediatric speech and language therapy.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of speech production anatomy and physiology.
- Sound understanding of childhood speech, language, and communication development.
- Experience with a range of paediatric communication disorders.
- Confidence using varied therapeutic approaches and intervention techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathetic, adaptable, and child-centred approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree (BSc or MSc) in Speech & Language Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current HCPC registration (or relevant regulatory body registration).
- Membership of RCSLT (preferred).
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Experience working with children in clinical, educational, or community settings.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,445.00 per year
