About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and confident After School Club Manager to lead one of our busy wraparound childcare settings.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the club, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and well cared for in a structured and positive environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role working directly with children and managing a small team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Approx. 2:45pm – 6:15pm
- Term-time only
- Additional paid admin time included
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily running of the after school club
- Ensure staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children
- Supervise and support playworkers
- Plan and oversee engaging activities for children
- Manage behaviour calmly and consistently
- Complete registers and basic admin tasks
- Communicate with parents and school staff
- Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead on site
About You

- Confident leading a small team
- Calm, organised, and able to make decisions
- Positive and engaging with children
- Professional in communication
Requirements
- Experience working with children (school, nursery, or childcare setting)
- Good understanding of safeguarding
- Ability to take responsibility and lead a session
- Level 2 childcare qualification
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Level 3 childcare qualification
- Previous experience in after school or wraparound care
- Paediatric First Aid
