We are seeking a dedicated HGV Driver Class C+E to join our well-established, family-owned manufacturing business based in Wednesbury. You will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of our bespoke packaging solutions, supporting our mission to provide outstanding service and value to our clients.
The Role
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week, with an average of 40–50 hours
- Monday to Friday only – no night shifts and no rostered weekend work
- Typical start time of 6:00am
- 2–4 deliveries per day
- No loading or unloading required
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with EU Drivers’ Hours and the Working Time Directive, minimising infringements
- Deliver excellent face-to-face customer service
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensure all loads are legal, secure, and safe, in line with DVSA regulations
- Always maintain a professional and responsible approach
About You
You must have:
- A valid HGV Class 1(Category C+E) licence
- A valid Digital Tachograph card and Driver CPC
- A strong understanding of drivers’ hours regulations and the Working Time Directive
- Good UK road network knowledge
- A flexible, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Residence within a reasonable distance of Wednesbury / West Midlands
