Purpose of the Job

To support the Service Manager in the day-to-day supervision of the Centre and allocated facilities.
- Ensure maintained high standards of organisation, operation and safety.
- To deputise for the Service Manager during periods of absence. The supervision and motivation of staff.
- To be responsible for the supervision of the Centre/allocated facilities, in the absence of the Service Manager, in accordance with the defined operational procedures during periods of duty and for the security of premises and equipment under their control
- To support the Service Manager in the organisation, motivation and supervision of staff to meet the day-to-day operational requirements of the facility during periods of duty. This will include maintaining a high level of cleanliness and customer care and ensuring that staff carry out all duties in a manner as directed by agreed work instructions.
- To assist the Service Manager in the organisation and delivery of regular staff training sessions to cover all aspects of the operation of the centre
- To undertake reception, cleaning, coaching and other duties required to maintain the service delivery.
- To maintain levels of qualifications to apply these skills.
- To undertake lifeguard duties at other enjoy leisure facilities when required.
- To assist the Service Manager in the implementation and monitoring of health & Safety procedures within the centre.
- Taking corrective action as appropriate and advising the Service Manager and, reporting to senior staff in his/her absence, of all incidents.
- Assisting the Service Manager in conducting Risk Assessments and in the recording and reviewing of them.
- When required at other enjoy leisure facilities, assist the Service Managers to supervise and co-ordinate the implementation of the enjoy leisure Learn to Swim Programme.
- To undertake swimming lessons in accordance with the enjoy leisure Learn to Swim programme.
- To identify the need for replenishing stocks and report this to the Service Manager in order to ensure that appropriate levels of supplies are held to meet the day-to-day demands of the centre and to routinely receive these goods.
- To report, to the Service Manager, any defects in plant, equipment or fixtures within the centre.
- To maintain records of such reports and any subsequent follow-up actions required.
- When required at other enjoy leisure facilities to assist the Service Managers to record and monitor routine day-to-day plant operations and maintenance, water quality and temperature, environmental conditions and cleanliness.
- Take any necessary corrective action required to ensure levels are maintained within agreed parameters and/or to report as necessary.
- To supervise the behaviour of the public whilst in the building and its environs.
- In the absence of the Service Manager and/or during periods of duty, to account for all monies collected and banked
- To maintain bookings, records of use, income and being the first line response to customer’s concerns/complaints.
- Record and report complaints to the Service Manager and ensure the feedback policy is followed at all times.
- Duties must be carried out with due regard to all associated policies and procedures.
- To undertake any other operational duties as required to maintain the service delivery.
- To undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grading of the post as required by the Service Manager or Chief Executive.

- NPLQ Trainer Assessor
- Appropriate relevant coaching qualification
- RLSS Trainer Assessor
- Health and Safety Risk Assessment Qualification
Salary:
£15.42 - £16.88 per hour
£29,749.33-£32,557.67
