SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

Salary range is expected to start at around £50k and will reach the required level for the right candidate DOE
(We are also recruiting Graduate Civil Engineers for the same business.)

The Role
You’ll act as a Senior or Project Civil Engineer, leading the design and delivery of roads, drainage and infrastructure for residential, commercial and industrial developments. This is a hands-on and client-facing role with real responsibility, and the chance to mentor junior staff. A business where you will have influence, make an impact, and not be a cog in a large machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading civil engineering design on a range of development projects
- Producing detailed roads and drainage designs, calculations and reports
- Managing planning and technical approvals with local authorities and regulators
- Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and wider design teams
- Carrying out site inspections and supporting construction queries
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians
- Contributing to project delivery, programme and budget control
What They’re Looking For
- Experience as a Senior Civil Engineer or a strong Civil Engineer ready to step up
- A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant qualification of equal or greater level
- Solid background in roads and drainage design from residential, commercial, or industrial project delivery
- Proficiency with industry software (PDS, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/WINDES or similar)
- Experience working on development-led projects
- Someone confident leading projects and communicating with clients
- Working towards or already achieving chartership (ICE or equivalent)
