We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to support the smooth operation of client facilities through the delivery of high-quality mechanical, electrical, and building services engineering support.
The role involves fault finding, repairs, routine maintenance, installations, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused engineer who can deliver planned and reactive maintenance, maintain compliance with health and safety requirements, and build effective relationships with clients and colleagues to ensure seamless site operations and high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver all scheduled PPM activities and complete reactive and proactive tasks raised via the helpdesk within agreed SLA targets.
- Carry out building services maintenance, including minor fabric repairs, basic HVAC tasks, and mechanical support activities.
- Oversee on-site contractors by verifying competency, monitoring quality of work, and issuing Permits to Work where required.
- Test, inspect, and maintain electrical systems to ensure performance, safety, and compliance standards are met.
- Review equipment performance and ensure servicing, corrective actions, and maintenance activities are completed in line with contract requirements.
- Provide expert technical support to clients and colleagues, keeping stakeholders informed and proactively resolving issues.
- Complete all required administration, including work reports, asset updates, and compliance records within required timescales.
- Ensure PPM schedules are planned, tracked, and completed within SLA/KPI targets while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH requirements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within Facilities Management (FM) or building services within commercial properties.
- City & Guilds 2365 or 2357 Level 3, plus NVQ 2356 with AM2, OR
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 Electrical Installation, plus NVQ 2356 with AM2, OR
- City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2, AND
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably including the A2 amendment.What You'll Bring
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills across electrical and building services systems.
- A commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work effectively to service level agreements and performance targets.
