Duties

- Develop and implement efficient transport schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Monitor and optimise routes using advanced planning tools and software programmes
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
- Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Utilise Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to prepare reports and communicate effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving any logistical issues promptly and professionally
- support team members in managing daily transport activities
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in supply chain management
Experience
- Proven experience in or logistics roles, preferably within supply chain or transportation sectors
- Strong driving record and familiarity with vehicle routing and scheduling systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook; IT literacy is essential
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics operations, and IT systems used in transport planning
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Customer service orientation with a focus on resolving issues efficiently
