We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting our culinary staff to deliver excellent service. THE WORKING ROTA IS 08:45 TO 17:15 MONDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AND INCLUDES ALTERNATE WEEKENDS
OWN TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL FOR THE LOCATION OF THE GARDEN CENTRE
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently and thoroughly
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Organising and storing clean items appropriately for easy access by kitchen staff
- Supporting the team during busy periods by helping with serving or clearing tables as needed
- Adhering to all hygiene regulations and safety procedures within the kitchen environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or working in a busy kitchen setting will be considered an asset
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role
