We are looking for a reliable, energetic and motivated person to help activities in our church buildings and youth centre run smoothly.
The role is a part-time one, currently 10 hours a week, but has some flexibility and could be split across two or more individuals.
We are looking to find someone as soon as possible, to allow for a handover with our current facilitator, who is retiring.
Main duties will include:
- Routine cleaning of our church and church hall buildings
- Providing cover when the main church cleaner is on annual leave
- Checking maintenance, eg ensuring light bulbs are working and reporting defects
- Re-stocking supplies
- Opening up and closing for one-off hire events, ensuring the place is in good order and hirers know where to find things.
The above are expected to take around 10 hours a week, but may vary from week-to-week according to the one-off hirers’ needs. Hours may be worked flexibly by mutual agreement.
Extra duties may be requested from time-to-time, for which additional hours and payment will be agreed.
The job comes with20 days' paid annual leave, plus public holidays, pro-rated for part-time working, and the opportunity to join our pension scheme.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
