Looking for a Class 2 driving role with variety and strong earning potential?
Quickslide Ltd is looking for an experienced and flexible Class 2 HGV Driver to join our Transport team.
This is not your standard depot-to-depot driving job. You'll be delivering our windows and doors directly to customers across the UK, completing multi-drop routes and playing an important part in providing a great service to our customers.
When covering our UK delivery routes, you'll normally spend 3–4 nights away from home per week, with Monday start times typically between 4:00am and 6:00am.
You'll mainly drive one of our 18-tonne box rigid HGVs, delivering windows and doors across the UK. Our products are generally manually handled on and off the vehicle, so this is a physical, hands-on driving role.
We also operate an 18-tonne curtain-side vehicle, which is used for palletised window deliveries.
When you're not covering one of our main Class 2 delivery routes, you'll still have a varied working week, completing local van deliveries or supporting our loading operation at our Brighouse site.
What you'll be doing
- Driving an 18-tonne Class 2 box rigid vehicle
- Completing multi-drop deliveries of windows and doors throughout the UK
- Staying away from home typically 3–4 nights per week when covering UK routes
- Safely handling and offloading windows and doors at customer locations
- Driving our 18-tonne curtain-side vehicle for palletised deliveries when required
- Completing local deliveries in a 3.5-tonne van when required
- Supporting the loading team when not covering delivery routes
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring products are loaded, secured and transported safely
- Working closely with our Transport and Loading teams
- Providing a professional and helpful service to our customers
What we're looking for
You will need:
- A valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience of UK multi-drop deliveries
- Flexibility to complete regular nights away from home
- Good physical fitness and willingness to manually handle products
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
Experience delivering windows, doors, glass or other large and fragile products would be an advantage, but full product-handling training will be provided.
