As a Family Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring families with identified needs receive the right support services within their homes and communities. Your work will span from conception until the child reaches the age of 19, helping families access essential resources and guidance. You will deliver and review a variety of family support services, including one-to-one support and evidence-based parenting programmes, all aimed at keeping children safe and helping families flourish.
In this rewarding role, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering Support: Provide tailored family support services to families in need.

Conducting Assessments: Assess family needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.

Facilitating Programmes: Lead evidence-based parenting programmes and group interventions.

Building Relationships: Establish strong connections with families, colleagues, and partner agencies.

Monitoring Progress: Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of support services provided.

Promoting Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people at all times.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.

To hold 5 GCSEs at level A*-C (including English) or equivalent.

A minimum of two years’ experience working with children, young people, and families.

Strong knowledge of child development, effective parenting, and attachment theory.

A full driving licence (unless registered disabled) to facilitate travel for work purposes.
