High House Nursery in Bishops Stortford are looking for passionate and friendly Preschool Room Leader to join our team!
High house nursery offers year-round care for children aged 0 to 5 in our nurturing environment with spacious grounds.
We are open full-time from 8am–6pm caring for children from three months to five years.
Set in two acres, the nursery is surrounded by fields and trees with an additional Forest School garden for children to explore.
You will play a key role in supporting children’s development, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, and delivering outstanding care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times
Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous nursery or childcare experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS
- Room Leader experience is preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
