Food Republic is seeking a capable Stock Controller to work closely with the Stock Management team based in Battersea.

About the Role
Food Republic is looking for a skilled Stock Controller to work closely with the Stock Manager and Goods In team, ensuring the purchasing and replenishment of stock in line with BRC compliance and company policies. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining inventory and stock management systems accurately within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Purchasing inventory within set budgets, negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best market value.
- Liaising with suppliers proactively, identifying performance issues, implementing countermeasures, and ensuring follow-ups.
- Completing stock takes, adjustments, and reconciliations while generating reports to extract relevant insights.
- Coordinating with the Warehouse team on stock volumes and space requirements.
- Recommending improvements to maintain the highest levels of compliance.
About You
The ideal candidate will have stock control experience in the food industry or knowledge of stock and logistics procedures. You must be able to reliably commute to Battersea, London SW8. Key qualifications and skills as a Stock Controller will include:
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and achieving KPIs.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel (knowledge of Dynamics 365 is advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-orientated mindset, with flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- GCSE Maths and English (A- C) or equivalent* (A-Level preferred).
- Knowledge of Brexit customs and compliance (desirable).
