Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and coordinate the transportation of goods.
- Create, develop and maintain relationships with carriers, hauliers and clients.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and documentation requirements.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with driver base.
- Track shipments and communicate updates to customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in UK road transport and freight forwarding is essential.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Knowledge of regulations and documentation related to freight forwarding.
As a Freight Forwarder, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the transportation of goods for our customers. You will be responsible for pricing, planning and managing the logistics of loads to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
*Duties*
- Utilise transportation management systems to plan and track shipments
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers to arrange transport
- Handle data entry tasks related to shipping documentation
- Negotiate rates with suppliers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions
- Manage sales aspects of freight forwarding services
- Implement Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes for efficient communication
- Utilise software tools for supply chain management
*Requirements*
- Experience in sales management within the logistics industry
- Knowledge of 3PL (Third Party Logistics) operations
- Familiarity with transportation management systems
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles
- Excellent data entry and telephone skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Background in logistics operations

Pay: £33,000.00-£43,000.00 per year (OTE year one, rising annually)
