Hi there,
We are looking, on behalf of our residents, for a friendly, reliable, and pro-active person to support the maintenance team with the property maintenance of our two care homes. (both on the same site in Hindhead). Ideally, you will have experience in painting and decorating, and general handyman jobs. It's a very rewarding place to work, great teamwork, paid breaks and subsidised lunches.
We are based amongst 30 acres of grounds, which is complimented by a host of animals. We have a fleet of adapted wheelchair accessible ‘golf buggies’ that drive around the estate, assisting the residents with feeding the animals, as well as stopping off at the new Pavilion by the lake for light refreshments.
We are currently accredited in the ‘Butterfly’ and ‘Dragonfly’ approaches by Meaningful Care Matters and have high staffing levels. We also have a very high retention rate for our team and one of our maintenance assistants recently retired from us after 40 years’ service. The average length of stay is between 8-10 years, which is unprecedented in the care industry.
