Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to work NIGHT shifts. Provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those they assist. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans tailored to their individual needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Help with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, following organisational procedures
- Support clients with light domestic tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
Skills
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care services is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to listen actively
- Organised approach to managing daily tasks whilst prioritising client safety and comfort
