Summary
We are seeking a full-time experienced Qualified Dental Nurse to join our busy NHS/Private Dental practice in 474 Whalebone Lane Romford RM6 6RL. This role is vital in supporting our team to provide outstanding patient care and efficient clinic operations. opportunity to work in our Sedation department and to be trained.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage patient records and appointments with precision.
- Provide excellent patient care and support.
- Handle Admin/ Auditing duties including scheduling and patient communication, patient record taking.
- Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
- Support the team with daily check lists, Flushing of chairs, Surgery Maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and professional clinic environment.
- Assisting patients with pre-operative and post-operative dental care, including preparing patients for oral surgery, administering medications or treatments, and providing general dentistry care.
- Preparation of materials for oral surgery procedures, including but not limited to: antiseptics, analgesics, surgical preparation, gloves, etc.
- Assisting dentists in the performance of dental procedures
- Responsible for patient chart documentation in compliance with dental office procedures and regulations
- Responsible for the efficient operation of dental equipment
- Prepare oral surgery patients for post-operative care including: decontaminate equipment, prepare patient for treatment/decontaminate office/ dental equipment
- Educate patients and their families about the benefits and benefits of having a EssexFamily Dental implant or restorative procedure (e.g., post-operative follow-up visits)
- Educate patients and their families about the benefits and benefits of having a implant restorative procedure (e.g., post-operative follow-up visits)
- Educate patients and their families about the benefits and benefits of our practice (e.g., patient charts, electronic medical records, patient education courses)

- Sedation Awareness if Possible.
Qualifications/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- GDC Registered Dental Nurse Preferably with 2 years experience
- Must be willing to submit to a background check DBS Check.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to read and write English.
- Must possess or be able to obtain CPR First Aid certification within 30 days of hire date.
- BLS/ILS Trained
- Radiography trained ( if have not compulsory )
Essential functions include:
- Assisting patients with basic dental treatment including cleaning, extraction, restorative work, and filling/coding.
- Administering treatments as needed.
- Recording and maintaining patient medical records and insurance records.
- A strong desire to work with the general public.
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control protocols.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare settings.
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in dental nursing is preferred.
