Multi-Trade Operative / Carpenter
Templewood Joinery & Construction Ltd is looking for a reliable and well-presented multi-trade operative with a carpentry focus to join our team on an employed basis.
We carry out high-quality domestic building work across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands, specialising in extensions, loft conversions, renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, garage conversions and general building projects.
This role would suit someone with a solid carpentry background and a broad understanding of general building work. You do not need to know everything, but you must be willing to muck in with other trades, learn where needed and work as part of a team.
The role will include:
Carpentry and joinery work as the main focus
General building and renovation work
Assisting with other trades when required
Working on domestic projects including extensions, loft conversions, kitchens, bathrooms and refurbishments
Keeping sites tidy, safe and professional
Communicating clearly with customers, suppliers and other trades
Helping deliver work to the standard our customers expect from Templewood Reporting to managers on site conditions regularly
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong carpentry or general building background
A broad scope of trade knowledge
A willingness to help with other trades when needed
Good communication skills
A professional, well-turned-out appearance
Their own tools
A full UK driving licence
Their own transport and the ability to get to sites around Nottinghamshire
An NVQ Level 2 qualification in a trade such as carpentry, bricklaying, labouring or similar
A reliable and positive attitude

Monday to Friday
8:00am – 4:30pm
