Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to joint our team as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. You will be joining the commercial team at a beginner level and will be mentored throughout your time with us. We would welcome graduates or even those new to the industry. Your duties will include:
Duties (you will be taught and mentored to learn these duties):
- Prepare cost estimates for spot (non framework jobs) materials, equipment, and labour and provide a quotation to the client.
- Put together daily values, and proceed to applications and invoices to the client to enable payment of the works.
- Chase payment of invoices for a clean debtors ledger.
- Miscellaneous commercial duties and assisting the senior commercial manager.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills. Microsoft Excel Ability is a must.
- Excellent numerical abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a niche industry.
- Effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
This position is an excellent opportunity to develop commercial and estimating skills, whilst working in a fast paced environment and dealing with a high volume of concurrent jobs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
