Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to lead our organisation’s training initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning programmes that enhance employee skills and organisational growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong management capabilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in various HRIS and talent management systems such as Workday, Taleo, PeopleSoft, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The Learning and Development Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development across all levels of the organisation.
Duties
- Develop and execute effective learning strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee the administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) including Workday, Taleo, and PeopleSoft to track training activities and employee progress.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment training processes using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to ensure seamless onboarding experiences.
- Design engaging training programmes, workshops, and seminars using presentation skills to facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Analyse training data to evaluate programme effectiveness and identify areas for improvement through data analysis skills.
- Supervise the L&D team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality delivery of learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to identify skill gaps and develop tailored development plans for employees at all levels.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in human resources, management, and training methodologies.
- Prepare reports on training outcomes and present findings to senior leadership using strong communication skills.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies regarding employee development programmes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources or learning & development roles, with supervising experience preferred.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of HRIS platforms such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
- Experience working with ATS platforms like Taleo or Workday Recruitment modules.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools to assess programme success metrics.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with HR management systems including Human Resources modules within HRIS platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
