Operations & Compliance Coordinator
Location: Hybrid - Work from Home and Office located in Sandhurst Business Park
Full Time: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Core working hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm - Flexibility may occasionally be required to meet the needs of the business.
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations & Compliance Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our services.
This is a varied role combining operational coordination, compliance, safeguarding administration and general business support. You will play a vital role in ensuring our staffing, compliance and administrative functions run smoothly, allowing our teams to focus on delivering outstanding childcare.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating staffing rotas across our settings, maintaining compliance records, supporting safeguarding processes and providing high-quality administrative support to the wider business.
This role does not have direct line management responsibility but requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations
- Produce and maintain daily staffing rotas across all wraparound care settings.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
- Arrange cover for staff absences, holidays and last-minute changes.
- Liaise with managers and staff regarding rota changes and staffing availability.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of all settings.
Compliance
- Maintain the company's Single Central Record (SCR), ensuring it remains accurate and fully compliant.
- Monitor DBS renewals, qualifications, right-to-work documentation and safeguarding checks.
- Track mandatory training and ensure all staff remain compliant.
- Maintain employee records in line with safer recruitment requirements.
- Support compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards.
- Assist in preparing documentation for inspections and audits.
Safeguarding
- Be an active member of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Team.
- Support the recording and monitoring of safeguarding documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation.
Administration
- Provide general administrative support to the senior leadership team.
- Order uniforms, equipment, stationery and operational supplies.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
- Support recruitment administration, onboarding and new starter compliance.
- Produce reports and operational information as required.
- Respond professionally to enquiries from parents, schools and staff.
Person Specification - Essential
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in an administration, operations or compliance role.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Professional, discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
Desirable
- Experience working within education, childcare or wraparound care.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Experience maintaining a Single Central Record (SCR).
- Understanding of safer recruitment requirements.
- Experience of rota planning or workforce scheduling.
- Experience supporting compliance within a regulated environment.
