Position
Care Assistant (Day & Night Shifts Available)

Hillcroft Residential Care Home
9-11 Howells Crescent, Llandaff, Cardiff, CF5 2AJ
Hours
- Full-time
- 36 to 48 hours per week
- Day and Night shifts available
- Weekend availability required
Pay
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
- Support residents with personal care and daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, privacy, and choice.
- Administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for residents.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to provide the highest standards of care.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within an elderly care home environment.
- Good understanding of care planning and person-centred care.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate, dependable, flexible, and self-motivated.
- A professional approach with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
