Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Manager / Barista / Front of House (FOH) / Bartender to join our vibrant team. This multifaceted role offers the opportunity to lead service operations, craft exceptional beverages, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred, along with a strong commitment to food safety standards and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service during busy periods
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee, tea, and beverages in accordance with company standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any enquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the barista station and dining area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling light snacks or accompaniments
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and manage basic maths calculations for billing purposes
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service delivery during peak hours
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including adherence to food safety protocols and responsible alcohol service where applicable
- Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing support to ensure team cohesion
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles that involve direct customer interaction
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures within a food service environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with excellent time management skills
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and cash management confidently
