Purpose of Role
To prepare, cook and present high-quality food in accordance with RockSalt standards while maintaining food safety, cleanliness and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items to specification.
* Ensure food is presented consistently and to a high standard.
* Maintain food hygiene and HACCP procedures at all times.
* Assist with stock rotation and storage using FIFO principles.
* Minimise food waste and report shortages.
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
* Assist with deliveries and stock control.
* Work efficiently during busy service periods.
* Support team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly.
* Follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Reliable, punctual and professional.
Working Hours
Flexible, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the business.
Pay: £14.75-£17.00 per hour
